Jade Benham MP
Member for Mildura
Opposition Whip in the Legislative Assembly
Jade Benham MP is the Member for Mildura and Opposition Whip in the Legislative Assembly, in the Victorian Parliament.
I am a second-generation Australian on my father’s side and a World War I soldier settler’s great-granddaughter on my mother’s. The Mallee is in my blood, and in the Mallee we fight. We always have. The entire Mildura electorate is a marvellous place.
Growing up on a stone fruit block, you might say that I have red dirt under my fingernails and Murray River water flowing through my veins. Born and educated in Swan Hill, I am proud to call the Mildura electorate my home. Serving as Mayor for 1 year gave me the opportunity to advocate for our community and region.
I’ve been running a small business since 2011 and married my husband Luke, a Robinvale local, in 2017. We now reside on an almond orchard at Bannerton with our two sons.
Having a deep attachment to the towns throughout our region makes me incredibly passionate and driven to support our people. I want to fight for these communities so that they not only survive, but thrive.
