Local men’s sheds are encouraged to apply for grants under the latest round of the Men’s Shed Funding Program, offering up to $100,000 for new projects and improvements.
The Nationals’ Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, praised the vital role men’s sheds play in fostering connection and supporting local communities.
“Men’s sheds provide a welcoming space for men to gather, share skills, and support one another,” Ms Benham said.
“This funding is an opportunity to build new sheds or upgrade existing facilities, helping men’s sheds continue their important work.”
Grants can be used for the construction of new sheds, as well as for extensions, refurbishments, or repairs to existing sheds.
There is also a focus on reducing social isolation, fostering inclusivity, and providing significant value to the community.
“It’s inspiring to see the valuable work men’s sheds are doing not only for their members but also for the broader community,” Ms Benham added.
There are more than 325 men’s sheds across Victoria, offering spaces where men can connect, contribute, and make a meaningful difference.
Applications close on October 16. More information is available online at www.vic.gov.au/mens-shed-funding-program.
